The Dental Hygiene Educators of Texas (DHET) has two scholarship opportunities available for RDHs interested in becoming Dental Hygiene Educators! Apply now – the deadline is December 1!
1.) RDHs pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene
Eligibility:
-Texas or U.S. resident with a dental hygiene license in good standing
-Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in dental hygiene
-Plans to pursue a career as a dental hygiene educator
-Ideal applicants would reside in Texas and/or plan to teach in a dental hygiene school located in Texas.
-Preference given to applicants who are currently employed as dental hygiene educators in Texas.
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Amount: $1,000 with certificate of achievement
Availability: 1 per year
Deadline: December 1
2.) RDHs pursuing a Master’s or Graduate Degree
Eligibility:
-Texas or U.S. resident with a dental hygiene license in good standing
-Currently enrolled in a master’s or graduate degree program in dental hygiene or higher education
-Plans to pursue a career as a dental hygiene educator
-Ideal applicants would reside in Texas and/or plan to teach in a dental hygiene school located in Texas.
-Preference given to applicants who are currently employed as dental hygiene educators in Texas.
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Amount: $1,000 with certificate of achievement
Availability: 1 per year
