Course Description:
As dental offices shift to utilizing piezo technology, hygienists and dentist need to understand the similarities and differences in ultrasonic techniques. The innovative piezo equipment and tip designs help facilitate through periodontal therapy. This hands on course is designed to aid the clinician in utilizing the piezo technology more effectively and incorporating different tip designs to improve calculus and biofilm removal.
Objectives:
At the conclusion of the course the participant will be able to:
-Utilize proper technique while using the piezo scaler.
-Demonstrate various piezo tips used during periodontal scaling.
-Identify correct power and tip selection for various calculus types.
-Discuss the similarities and differences between ultrasonic techniques.
