ADHA INSTITUTE FOR ORAL HEALTH

The Institute for Oral Health (IOH) encourages and promotes professional excellence through scholarship and quality research in collaboration with the American Dental Hygienists’ Association.  The purpose of the ADHA Institute is to contribute to the future growth and development of dental hygiene education and research.  By awarding annual scholarships and research grants to dental hygienists throughout the country, the Institute aims to increase society’s access to and aw awareness of oral health and the dental hygiene profession.  One of the only philanthropic organizations dedicated to providing educational funding for the dental hygiene profession, the Institute derives its support primarily from ADHA members and member organizations.  Through its programs, the Institute has awarded more than 800 scholarships to full- and part-time students pursuing graduate and undergraduate degrees, and has inspired over 50 dental hygienists to pursue research specifically in the field of dental hygiene.
